Sculpted Wooden Bird Bowl

Wedding bowl or "shepherds' bowl" antique, made of carved hardwood, originating from the former Yugoslavia. An ethnographic piece of remarkable monoxyle craftsmanship, entirely carved from a single block of wood.

This bowl features a rich relief decoration: two facing birds stand on either side of the handle, framing a central stylized floral motif. The eyes of the birds are enhanced with metallic inlays. The whole is supported by a stable circular base.

Object preserved in its original condition, showcasing a beautiful patina of age and normal signs of use that attest to its authenticity and history.
A true piece of Balkan folk art collection, this bowl can be displayed on a sideboard, a console, or in a library.
