Fire and Swirls Murano Glass Bowl

A true centerpiece of rare flamboyance, this footed bowl captivates with the striking contrast between the color of its glass, an incandescent orange-red reminiscent of embers, and the crystalline transparency of its ornaments.

The architecture of the object is a glassmaking tour de force inspired by the Baroque style. The neck is crowned with sharp, undulating crests reminiscent of frozen flames or ice leaves. The body of the bowl is richly animated by clear glass applications: swirling handles, garlands, and masks (small relief faces) that punctuate the perimeter. The whole rests on an ornate base formed of four transparent leaf feet.

This theatrical object stands alone in decoration. However, it will be spectacular at the center of a table, adorned with dark-skinned fruits (black grapes, figs) to play with contrast, or repurposed to hold a low and opulent floral arrangement.
